Mission Statement
The mission of
the Santa Paula Art Museum is to preserve and share Santa
Paula's artistic heritage; and to educate and engage the
community through collection, exhibition, interpretation,
programming and outreach.
About Us
The Santa Paula Art Museum was established as a not-for-profit organization to preserve and
share Santa Paula's artistic heritage known as the Santa Paula Collection. After considering many sites, the Museum will be located at the comer of Ojai and Main Streets
adjacent to the city operated California Oil Museum. An inviting, professionally landscaped garden will link the two museums.
The integration of these two museums establishes a cultural destination and provides a cornerstone for the revitalization of downtown Santa Paula. The city has leased the
site to the Museum for one-dollar-a- year.
The planned $5 million Santa Paula Art Museum will include four gallery spaces, a community meeting room, museum store, collection storage, docent space and administrative
offices. Designed by the Ventura firm of Mainstreet Architects, the structure will occupy 12,042 square feet with added design specification that will allow future expansion
to 15,542 square feet.
