Welcome educators!
The Santa Paula Art Museum offers school tours for all grade levels, which include interactive activites that are designed to satisfy state curriculum standards and get kids excited about art! Santa Paula schools are always admitted FREE and all other schools are only $2.00 per student. Contact the Museum at (805) 525-5554 or info@santapaulaartmuseum.org to schedule your next field trip!

For Teachers planning a trip to the museum:
BEFORE YOUR VISIT
These activities are intended to focus student attention on the skill of observation; this helps to maximize their experience once in the museum. For students to have success and a richer experience we suggest as many of these activities as possible.
AFTER YOUR VISIT
Our goal for these activities is to foster a sense of ownership in individual art making through open-ended activities that encourage exploration of art technique and visual expression. This is intended to extend the museum experience, and to encourage continuing art exploration.
We also have art lesson plans for grades K-5 and 6-8 available at the Museum. All plans feature paintings from the famous Santa Paula Collection. Please click on the lesson plan and vocabulary links to view and be sure to take a look at the artwork samples below. Prints of the artwork are available for loan at the Museum.
Let us know how we can help you bring art into the classroom!
