Here are the Museum’s top 5 moments for the week ending January 27, 2019:
This week we installed a new student exhibition in our student gallery entitled Expressions Through Contours and Color featuring students from Villanova Preparatory School in Ojai.
We were thrilled to welcome Jessica Diaz to our staff as Assistant Museum Educator. Jessica started with us as an intern in early 2017 and loves working with young artists.
We met with representatives from the Allied Artists of the Santa Monica Mountains and Seashore who have partnered with us for a plein air exhibit opening in July 2019.
We joined the City of Santa Paula Parks and Recreation Department at their "Teen Fest" to celebrate the grand opening of the new Santa Paula Teen Center at Las Piedras Park. We made and shared art with some fantastic kids and teens.
Ojai artist Gail Hercher taught another sold out bookmaking class inside the Cole Creativity Center. This particular class focused on the Japanese Binding technique.
