Learn how to design and print your very own tile designs in this two-part Multi-Block Printing workshop! Join teaching artist Nathanael Read inside SPAM’s Cole Creativity Center to learn all about designing, carving, and printing from multiple linoleum blocks onto paper. This class will utilize a printmaking press and learn how to create editions using oil-based block printing ink. All materials are included and all skill levels are welcome, including beginners.

This workshop will be taught on two consecutive Fridays: November 7, and November 14, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

This class is for ages 16 and over. The cost of this workshop is $70 per person. Preregistration is required and space is limited. The course will be held inside the Cole Creativity Center located at 123 N 10th St, Santa Paula, CA. Free parking is available directly behind the building and students may enter through the front or back door.

About Our Teaching Artist:

Nathanael Read is a printmaker, quilter, collage artist, and animator working in Ventura, CA. Originally from Salt Lake City, UT, he received his BFA from the University of Utah and his MFA from the University of Connecticut. His work has been exhibited at Finch Lane Gallery, Springville Museum of Art in Utah, South Cobb Art Alliance in Georgia, the Hartnett Museum at the University of Richmond in Virginia, The Wurks in Rhode Island, the Mattatuck Museum, the Dye & Bleach House Community Gallery, and the William Benton Museum of Art in Connecticut.
