Explore the secrets behind the psychology of oil painting as teaching artist Aaron MacDonald guides you through the foundations of fine art. In this four-part series, learn how finding harmony in tone, shape, and color influence your personal and emotional connection to beautiful art.
This four-part course will be taught on four consecutive Saturdays: January 24, January 31, February 7, and February 14, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day.
This class is appropriate for everyone ages 16 and over. The cost of the four-part course is $150.00 per person. All skill levels are welcome and all materials are provided. Advance registration is required and space is limited. Questions? Please call the Museum at (805) 525-5554 ext. 104.
About Our Teaching Artist:
Aaron MacDonald is a painter native to Ventura County and has been on his artistic journey for nearly a decade. He aspires to the skill of the old masters and is a devotee to art in all its shapes and forms. Aaron is grateful to share his experience in drawing and painting and knows that knowledge, love, and exercise is an excellent formula for producing successful creations on canvas.
