About Our Teaching Artist:

Jacqueline F. Moore is a painter, meditator, musical composer, and depth psychotherapist. Born in the greater Los Angeles area, she has traveled through many countries across the world seeking to build an inner relationship to herself, the world, and the cosmos. Healing has been a primary focus in her life bringing her in contact with many modalities, lifestyles, and theoretical orientations.

While working towards her Bachelor of Fine Art in Painting at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, she found that the act of painting itself, sitting with the tactile texture of the brush across a surface, observing the interaction of colors, and building the progressive construction of composition was deeply engaging, mirroring a subtle process of internal senses and energies. In 2014 she was attuned to level 2 Reiki. In 2015 she completed a 500-hour yoga teacher training specializing in alignment, somatic experience, and meditation.

She went on to complete her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology with an Emphasis in Depth Psychology from the Pacifica Graduate Institute in 2021. Her thesis Expressive Awareness culminates research that describes the relationship between C.G. Jung’s construct of the psyche, the principles of mindfulness as described in the Satipattana sutta, and the creative arts process. During this time, she composed and began curating the musical project ‘Maya Lumen’. Maya Lumen’s first EP Ellipsis and her body of work Beyond the Void provide an experiential aspect to this research. In 2025 she completed Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach's Mindfulness Meditation Teaching Certification Program. Jacqueline currently works as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #140342 specializing in trauma, mood disorders, and spiritual and creative development. She owns her private practice 'Concentric Soul'. She also serves as adjunct faculty at the Pacifica Graduate Institute teaching research methodologies, cultural psychology, and psychoanalytic theory.
