Kumihimo is a form of Japanese cord-braiding, dating back thousands of years. Guided by teaching artist Dani Kwon inside the Santa Paula Art Museum’s Cole Creativity Center, students will create their very own bracelet using a round braiding loom. Dani will introduce the basics including a brief history, the tools, movements, and patterns used in this complex and beautiful craft.

This is a one day workshop that will be taught on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

This class is for ages 16 and over. The cost of this workshop is $40 per person. All skill levels are welcome and all materials are provided. Preregistration is required and space is limited. The course will be held inside the Cole Creativity Center located at 123 N 10th St, Santa Paula, CA. Free parking is available directly behind the building and students may enter through the front or back door.
