About Nora Koerber
Nora Koerber graduated from Art Center College of Design in 1984 and began a career in freelance illustration which lasted fifteen years. She then obtained her M.F.A. from CSU Los Angeles in Design/ Illustration in 2004. For one year, she taught at Otis Art Institute, CSUN, and LACSHA, then became employed full-time at Storyboards Online from fall 2005 to 2017. From 2017 to present, Koerber has worked as a freelance comp artist and fine art painter.
Koerber describes her style as “Impressionistic Realism,” blending a colorist approach with expressive movement and subtle abstraction. Her landscapes flow with sweeping gestures and upward motion, which she wields to signify hope and positivity.
