About Our Teaching Artist:

Mieriam J. Ross began studying art at the age of twelve with a private instructor. She continued her art education through college and received her BA in Studio Art from California State University Channel Islands. Shortly after graduating, she discovered her passion for teaching art to children. Since 2018, she has taught art in various settings including: local private schools, after school programs, art studios, and private lessons from home. Currently, Mieriam’s favorite medium is watercolor. She enjoys focusing on small animals and landscapes for her subjects. She is most inspired by children’s art. Mieriam understands how staying connected to your inner child plays an important role in the art making process. This is why she is greatly honored to get to witness young humans in this special stage. Mieriam has a deep respect for the responsibility and opportunity of teaching art to children. She carefully guides her students to preserve their creativity while honing in on skills to help them in their creative endeavors.
