2026 Summer Art Camp: Mixed Media (Ages 11-16)

Cost: $180.00 per child for the entire week
In this Mixed Media Camp, teens will explore a variety of drawing and painting techniques while experimenting with different art materials. Students will work with graphite, oil pastel, watercolor, and acrylic paint, learning how each medium can be used to create unique textures, colors, and effects. Through guided projects, campers will build skills in observation, composition, and creative expression while discovering which materials they enjoy most. By the end of the camp, students will have completed several artworks and gained confidence working across multiple artistic mediums.
This five-day camp will be taught from Monday, June 22, to Friday, June 26, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day.
This camp is appropriate for kids ages 11-16. The cost of camp is $180.00 per child for the entire week. All skill levels are welcome and all materials are provided. Preregistration is required and space is limited.
*Each day will have a dedicated break time where kids may eat snacks and drink water. Kids must bring their own snacks and water bottles. Water cups will be available. A parent/guardian is required to sign their child in and out every day.

Youth Scholarships Available!
The Santa Paula Art Museum offers financial assistance to qualifying individuals. To qualify, students must be between the ages of 3 and 18, and their family must be enrolled in the state’s EBT or WIC program. Once verified, you will receive a discount code to use towards enrollment. Financial assistance is limited and not guaranteed.
About Our Teaching Artist:
An LA native, Jem Morris completed her BFA at Academy of Art University in San Francisco in 2019. She has explored many styles including surrealism, abstraction, landscape, figurative painting, and pet portraits in the traditional mediums of oil, acrylic, watercolor, graphite, charcoal, and gouache. Jem has been teaching painting and sculpting for both kids and adults across Ventura County for the past 5 years. Her current work could be found on her Instagram account: @jemfarts
