2026 Summer Art Camp: Sketchbook (Ages 11-16)
Date and Time: Monday, June 29 - Friday, July 3, 2026
1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day
Age: 11-16
Teaching Artist: Klay Kidd
Cost: $180.00 per child for the entire week
In Sketchbook Camp, campers will use a variety of media, including markers, pens, collage, and acrylic paint, to fill in their own sketchbooks. Working individually, students will develop their own style while learning concepts in shading, cross hatching, composition, design, and more!
This five-day camp will be taught from Monday, June 29, through Friday, July 3, from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. each day.
This camp is appropriate for kids ages 11-16. The cost of camp is $180.00 per child for the entire week. All skill levels are welcome and all materials (including sketchbooks) are provided. Preregistration is required and space is limited.
*Each day will have a dedicated break time where kids may eat snacks and drink water. Kids must bring their own snacks and water bottles. Water cups will be available. A parent/guardian is required to sign their child in and out every day.

Youth Scholarships Available!
The Santa Paula Art Museum offers financial assistance to qualifying individuals. To qualify, students must be between the ages of 3 and 18, and their family must be enrolled in the state’s EBT or WIC program. Once verified, you will receive a discount code to use towards enrollment. Financial assistance is limited and not guaranteed.
About Our Teaching Artist:
Klay Kidd is a wood worker, muralist and graffiti artist based in Southern California. Klay studied studio arts and ceramics at Ventura College. From designing his own wooden sculptures, to local murals and traditional paintings, Klay’s biggest passion is working with youth. He has led teen groups in Ventura and is the Assistant Educator at the Santa Paula Art Museum.
